The Centre for AI Fundamentals is always keen on hosting visiting academics and researchers for new and continuing collaborations. The sections below form a quick guide as to what kind of topics we are interested in and how to get in touch.
What are typical research interests anticipated for visitors?
We are seeking visits from researchers who can collaborate with the Centre for AI Fundamentals on relevant subjects, such as:
- Automatic experimental design;
- Bayesian inference;
- Computational rationality;
- Human-in-the-loop learning;
- Inverse reinforcement learning;
- Machine teaching;
- Privacy-preserving learning;
- Reinforcement learning;
- User modelling, and simulator-based inference.
Initial applications will include decision making in personalized medicine, steering experimental design in drug design and synthetic biology, and design of digital twins and decision making with them, multi-modal user-interface interaction, generative AI for video game designs, and foundation model for drug combination optimisations.
What is the duration of visits?
The duration of your visit will depend on the proposed collaborative work.
What can we fund?
Salary and costs related to travel we anticipate will be covered by your home institution. Other costs, including accommodation and expenses during your visit, can be discussed as arrangements for the research visit are finalised.
