A*STAR Singapore
The Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR) drives mission-oriented research that advances scientific discovery and technological innovation. A*STAR plays a key role in nurturing and developing talent and leaders for the wider research community, and industry.

Aalto University
Samuel Kaski holds a joint Professorship with The University of Manchester and Aalto University, Helsinki and AI-Fundamentals researchers work closely with counterparts in the Probabilistic Machine Learning group at Aalto.

The Alan Turing Institute
The Alan Turing Institute is the national institute for data science and artificial intelligence. The University of Manchester has been partnered with Turing Institute since 2018 and Turing Fellows include several AI-Fundamentals colleagues.

Christabel Pankhurst Institute
The Christabel Pankhurst Institute for health technology research and innovation is a £25m initiative to promote needs-led health technology research and innovation, providing end-to-end support for translation into practice, and acting as an external flagship for the University’s rapidly expanding health technology portfolio.
A unique partnership between the University, NHS, business and local government, it forms an important part of the Greater Manchester health innovation ecosystem, working together to translate world-leading research into new products and services.

The Christie NHS Foundation Trust
The Christie is one of Europe’s leading cancer centres, treating over 60,000 patients a year. We provide a regional service and have ambitions nationally and internationally. The Christie is based in Manchester and serves a population of 3.2 million across Greater Manchester and Cheshire, but as a national specialist around a quarter of patients are referred from other parts of the country.
The Christie’s public members play an essential part in sharing their opinions, shaping our future and making a vital contribution to how our services are developed.

European Laboratory for Learning and Intelligent Systems (ELLIS)
ELLIS is a pan-European AI network of excellence. It builds upon machine learning as the driver for modern AI and aims to secure lasting international leadership of AI made in Europe by connecting top researchers in this field and by creating a multi-centric AI research laboratory. Founded in 2018, ELLIS has grown into a network that counts 39 ELLIS units at world-class institutions in 14 countries,14 ELLIS programs and a pan-European PhD program. The members of ELLIS are committed to shaping the future of AI in Europe by pushing the scientific and technological boundaries for human-centered, beneficial and safe AI.

Finnish Center for Artificial Intelligence (FCAI)
FCAI is one of the Research Council of Finland’s Finnish flagships, hubs of top-level research and impact and brings together top talents in academia, industry and the public sector to solve real-life problems using both existing and novel AI.

Turing Innovation Catalyst Manchester
The Turing Innovation Catalyst Manchester (TICM) is led by The University of Manchester, working with a consortium of business, academic and public sector organisations. The project aims to accelerate Greater Manchester’s £5bn digital economy by supporting existing start-ups and creating new ones – especially in the field of artificial intelligence. It will also help to develop skills in the region, with a particular focus on women and under-represented groups in the industry.
