PhD Studentships

We currently have a large number of PhD students working on machine learning and the fundamentals of AI. We have several existing projects that you may be interested in, but we are also interested to hear from candidates with their own topics to propose. The University of Manchester has funding opportunities for candidates which are allocated on a competitive basis, and we also welcome candidates with external funding to cover the costs of their PhD. Project Officer

We are currently hiring for a Project Officer role, supporting a UKRI-funded Turing AI World-Leading Researcher Fellowship. We’re seeking a proactive and highly organised individual to lead on a range of administrative responsibilities, including managing communications and dissemination activities, coordinating meetings, and organising events and workshops. You will also liaise with internal and external partners and provide high-level executive support to the Centre Director. Flexibility, excellent communication skills, and a collaborative approach are essential. This role will be based within the Research Development and Innovation team in the Faculty of Science and Engineering.
